Starting with a kit of parts, this project means to mimic a living parasite of a mechanical nature growing on the abandoned Delaware Power Station. The goal for the facade was to create “natural” looking crevices of varying thicknesses much like those of mollusks or other invertebrates. This system then translated to aunique subdivision strategy allowing for the pieces to be robotically fabricated. The clay prints were stretegically designed to be self supporting and ultimately weighing over 70lbs.
